Lately, I have been fascinated by the subject of Sacred Geometry. Besides the reading suggestions given in the illustration, I would also suggest watching the "Sacred Geometry"  Series on the Gaia Network. 

There is a quiet, intelligent beauty that runs through everything in creation — a divine design, ancient and precise. Sacred geometry is the study of these patterns, shapes, and ratios that seem to appear everywhere in nature, art, architecture, and even within our own bodies. For many spiritual seekers, it’s more than just math or art — it’s a language of the soul.

What Is Sacred Geometry?

At its core, sacred geometry refers to the geometric patterns and proportions that underlie the fabric of our universe. From the spirals of galaxies to the symmetry of a sunflower, these forms repeat across scale and time.

These patterns are not random — they follow certain ratios and principles that many believe are evidence of a deeper intelligence or divine blueprint.

Common Sacred Geometry Symbols

1. The Flower of Life

A pattern of overlapping circles forming a flower-like grid. It’s considered one of the most foundational symbols of sacred geometry and is believed to contain the template of all creation.

2. The Seed of Life

A subset of the Flower of Life, this shape is made of seven interlocking circles. It symbolizes beginnings, fertility, and the blueprint of life itself.

3. Metatron’s Cube

Formed from the Flower of Life, Metatron’s Cube includes all five Platonic solids — the building blocks of matter — and is often seen as a symbol of divine balance and protection.

4. The Golden Ratio (Phi, 1.618…)

This mathematical ratio shows up in art, nature, and the human body — the spiral of a nautilus shell, the branching of trees, the proportions of the Parthenon. It’s often associated with beauty, harmony, and divine proportion.

5. The Fibonacci Spiral

Closely related to the Golden Ratio, this spiral pattern appears in galaxies, hurricanes, pinecones, and flower petals. It’s often used to illustrate the unfolding of life and consciousness.

Why Does Sacred Geometry Matter Spiritually?

Sacred geometry reminds us that the universe is not chaotic — it’s intentional. Whether you believe in a divine architect, universal intelligence, or simply the elegance of nature, sacred geometry inspires awe. It asks us to notice the magic hiding in plain sight.

Yesterday we tiptoed into the fascinating world of Sacred Geometry — and I was so moved by the response. It seems many of you, like me, have always sensed that there’s something more behind the shapes and patterns of life. Something ancient. Something divine.

The Seed of Life: A Pattern Remembered

If you’ve ever seen a cluster of seven overlapping circles — like petals of a cosmic flower — you’ve seen what’s called the Seed of Life. This simple yet profound pattern is found in sacred sites across the world, etched into ancient temples, and even embedded in the geometry of cells as they divide.

But what’s so special about this shape?

The Seed of Life is often considered the very starting point of creation.It begins with one circle — a symbol of unity, source, the One. From there, another circle is added, intersecting the first; now we have two: duality, relationship, and reflection. Add a third, fourth, fifth… until seven circles complete the seed. These seven stages reflect the unfolding of creation — from energy into matter, from thought into form. And maybe even… from soul into child.

From Seed to Flower: The Soul’s Journey

Expand the Seed of Life further, and it blossoms into the Flower of Life — an intricate and mesmerizing pattern made from dozens of circles overlapping in perfect harmony.

This “flower” has been found in Egypt, China, Israel, and India — always pointing back to the same idea: that all life is connected, and that creation follows sacred laws of balance, rhythm, and proportion.

To me, the Flower of Life is more than a geometric pattern. It’s a spiritual map. It reminds me that my child’s soul — and mine — came here with a pattern woven into our very being. That our lives, though sometimes messy or unpredictable, are still part of something profoundly ordered and divine.
